The above photographs are photojournalism photography and tell a story which is very obvious. An accident scene showing two vehicles that that collided, a person on a stretcher being loaded into an ambulance, and a police officer that told the photographer this was his jurisdiction and did want pictures taken. Photojournalism photography is form of photography where a picture is taken that tells a story. It is never planed ahead of time, but has just happened, or in the process of happening. An example would be a vehicle accident or a fire which is happening over a period of time. A photojournalists has to be ready all the times, know his camera and how to use it. These action type photos do not wait for the photographer, they happen, and when they are gone, there are gone. This is what makes a good photojournalism photographer.
These photographers can be working for a newspaper or be self employed. If they work for a newspaper another person will come along to write the story. If self employed, the photographer will also write the story.
There is no end to the varied types of photographs that can be taken. Read you local newspaper and look at the pictures. Television is the same except video is used.
