Digital Camera Access.



The digital camera accessories come in a wide assortment of items which each photographer deems to be necessary for his own particular needs. The camera that is used and the type of photography that the photographer is doing help decide which of the digital camera accessories is important. As you advance to the higher end camera, more accessories are available.

Camera lenses are probably one of the most looked at camera accessory. There is probably one available to satisfy the needs of any photographer.

Exposure meters are for those that have high end cameras, and get into a situation where the exposure metering in the camera is not effective. Exposure meters need understanding and practice to be able to use them with good results.

Tripods are a necessity for a taking good pictures. They help for composing and also holding the camera steady to avoid movement.

Spare batteries are a must. It can be very frustrating to have the camera stop taking pictures because of a dead battery.

There are a variety of lens filters available. Once you get some experience you will discover what they will do.

An external flash unit is very usable if you are taking pictures after dark or need fill flash. It also helps avoid red eye.

Light reflectors are used to bring in light from the sun or flash to an area that is dark and needs additional light.

Projection systems are used to project a digital picture on a screen or wall similar to a projector that was used for 35mm slides

There all types of gadgets available to provide some type of help with your photography. Lens cleaners, covers to keep the camera dry when it rains, magnifiers on the view finder for easier viewing, carrying straps, and a gadget bag to keep everything in.

Talk with other photographers about accessories before you buy anything. They can probably give you some expert ideas.
