Camera Lenses




How do you choose the right camera lenses. You will probably never s choose the perfect camera lenses, as there really aren’t any. It depends on the type of photographer that you are now and what you photograph, which can change, and require a different type of lens.

Portrait photographers can do all or most of their work with a 50mm to 105mm lens. A person who does macro photography and another, sports photography, will have totally different requirements. A 28mm wide angle lens to a 135mm telephoto lens will suffice for someone that takes a few pictures on weekends or holidays, with no special type of photography in mind.

With this consideration, depending on what you photograph most of the time, will depend on the type of camera lenses that you require. Also, what you would like, and what you have, are two different things. If your interests are sports, or astrophotography, optics can be very pricey. A high quality macro lens will be above the average price of a standard lens, along with a telephone lens for nature photography.

Lenses can vary dramatically in price, from around $100.00 to $5000.00 and more. Much of this depends on the manufacturer of the lens.
